Lifesong for Orphans & Gobena Coffee are partnering to serve the Ziway, Ethiopia community through several projects!

Projects include: education for orphans and vulnerable children in Ethiopia, a feeding program, providing Christian education – including adding one grade each year , completing church construction, and creating a sustainable business for vocational/entrepreneurship training.
Many of the children in this region have been orphaned due to their parents dying of HIV/AIDS. Lifesong for Orphans partnered with Gobena Coffee want to see these children receive a Christcentered education and equip them to spread the joy of Jesus throughout Ethiopia, and Africa at large. Every time you drink Gobena Coffee, you are making these projects become a reality, and giving joy and purpose to orphans in Ethiopia.
PASSION::2010
Gobena Coffee was invited to be an exhibitor at Passion::2010 in Atlanta, GA. The event was absolutely amazing! Over 20,000 college students gathered to worship, hear preaching, and partner with exhibiting organizations like Gobena.
One of the key elements of the event was the meshing of Worship + Justice. Students were encouraged to support global projects through giving and participation. In the 4 days of the event, Gobena served 15,000 cups of coffee and sold over 1,500 bags of coffee. WOW! These students really caught the vision that a few dollars can go a long way in Ethiopia!
