Christmas was celebrated this year with a chicken dinner at both schools, a movie, dancing and singing, and gifts for the kids including new bags, clothes, slippers, a blanket, and candies. read more >>
November 2010 Update
"Our newest school in Marshall is progressing smoothly with 84 students and 5 teachers. This school is the first and only school in the Marshall community (of over 10,000 people) and presently runs from ABC to Grade 3. read more >>
The orphanage is currently home to 69 children, who are supervised by 4 caregivers.
Quality of life has improved, as the children are now receiving three meals a day, each has their own bed, mattress and mosquito net, and their health has improved.
This year, 243 children were educated at the school which is on site. This school is open to children of the community, and is the only one in the vicinity. School will end for summer break on June 22. read more >>
Vacation Bible Camp
Camp will be held the second week in August for three days. It will include Bible study, sports activities and compassion outreach. This camp will bring together at least five hundred children from the streets of Monrovia, the Home of Champions and other orphanages. Many will hear about Jesus for the first time in their lives. Lifesong is sponsoring camp through donations from a VBS program in the US. see additional photos >>
