Tim & Julie Wallen
Tim Wallen and Julie Wallen had the vision of providing interest free loans to Christian couples that wished to adopt children internationally and domestically. Tim and Julie have four natural children and decided to add to their family by adopting a special needs boy, Lin Shao Kwin, from China in 2003. They found the adoption experience to be a blessing to their family.
Tim and Julie realized that the out of pocket expense is a major stumbling block making it difficult for couples to adopt, and the need for financial resources to fund the high cost of adoption. From this realization Family Legacies was born in 2005. The Wallen’s wanted to allow other Christian couples the opportunity to experience the joy and love of parenthood through adoption. Family Legacies provided interest free loans to couples who practice the Christian faith and wish to adopt children internationally and domestically. With this structure in place, funds are available to Christian couples and interest free payments are made to Family Legacies to repay the loan amount.
In 2009 Family Legacies merged with Lifesong and formed the Lifesong Legacy Fund. Tim serves as chairman of the Lifesong Legacy Fund.
