Steve and Mo and several of their children traveled to Brazil to spend time with their "future children" and to bring them home just in time for Christmas. After spending two weeks with them, a social worker interviewed the children separate from the family and asked them if they wanted to live in the United States with this new family. All five, ages 3 to 13 responded enthusiastically "Yes"! Through our Adoption Grant and Loan ministry, Lifesong was blessed to play a small part in bringing these children home to a Christian family.

Just how does a family of 20 make certain that no one slips beneath the cracks? According to Steve and Mo Thompson, who adopted 13 children after having 5 biologically, they like to concentrate on five specific areas: 1) when a child gets up in the morning, 2) when a child goes to bed at night, 3) when a child leaves the house, and 4) when a child comes home. The 5th principle is to have dinner together every day.
