We invite your church to help care for orphans who may never be adopted through our Orphan Care program. In each orphanage, we are providing Christian mentors whose purpose is to build trusting, loving relationships with the children with the ultimate goal of guiding them toward fruitful Christian lives. While Lifesong is helping to “bring joy and purpose to orphans” - the job is too big for us to do alone….we need your help. We invite you to participate in what God is doing on behalf of the fatherless through the “Adopt-an-Orphanage” program.

What is the “Constant Christian Presence”(CCP) orphan care program?

A Lifesong CCP mentor is a national believer (and/or a married couple), who serves full-time in onespecific orphanage and builds deep relationships with the orphan children in that orphanage. They are the on the “front-lines” caring for the children and are responsible for the spiritual and emotional aspects of their care. CCP mentors conduct classes on character and Biblical principles. They spend time with the kids, help teach job skills, relationship skills and help with moral issues, problems and concerns.Many children live in orphanages and have little hope of ever being adopted. Lifesong (LS) provides for these children in the following ways:

1. Improving Living Conditions. Through financial support and mission teams, LS provides basic needs: food, clothing, bedding, orphanage facility renovations, and medical supplies for hospitals and clinics.
2. Constant Christian Presence (CCP). In order to provide Biblical training, LS hires national Christians who work in the orphanages on a full-time basis. In each orphanage, LI CCP staff develop trusting relationships with orphans to develop Biblical understanding, one-on-one counseling and support to develop skills in life issues, and to be nurtured in a comfortable and safe environment. The ultimate goal of CCP mentors is to model Christ-centered living. Some of the tools used to do this include sports activities, books, videos, Vacation Bible school programs, camping, etc.
3. Job Skill Training. To prepare the children for their future role in society, LS provides practical training with farm animals and equipment, sewing machines, baking equipment, and computer labs.
4. Transition Home (for children who “age out”). Orphan children who “age-out” of the government orphanage system need the support and accountability a church family provides. LS encourages lasting relationships with weekly Bible studies, counseling, and transportation to church activities.

Lifesong’s Commitment

1. Stewardship - A ministry partner is covering all of Lifesong’s U.S. based administrative costs, allowing 100% every donated dollar to go to directly to Orphan Care or Adoption Grants/Loans.
2. Manage Constant Christian Presence - ensure that our CCP program is maximizing stewardship and effective in changing the lives of orphans in as many ways as possible.
3. Facilitate Mission Trips - LS will help you make travel arrangements, aid in planning the daily activities of your trip, etc.
4. Facilitate Letter-writing - LS staff will help facilitate the letter-writing between child and sponsor, including translation and delivery (quarterly or semi-annual basis).

Connecting & Supporting the Initiative

We firmly believe that the only way we can change kids’ lives eternally is by engaging the US church and the local Ukrainian church to come alongside the needs of orphan children.

We invite churches to consider making a 2-3 year commitment to “adopt” one specific orphanage/facility. This Adopt-an-Orphanage commitment would include:

1. Yearly Mission Trip - a team of up to 12 people visit a Ukrainian orphanage/facility that Lifesong does significant orphan care work in. This is a prime opportunity for the US Christians to work alongside of and encourage the Ukrainian Christians…as you both serve orphans! These trips usually have a daily VBS component as well as some minor construction opportunities. The trips are approximately 6-10 days (depending on activities).
2. Letter-writing sponsorship - Although our goal is to engage local national Christians (CCP mentors) to have deep and meaningful relationships with the orphan children, we also know it is very beneficial for the children to have a relationship with their sponsors. We invite individuals of the sponsoring church to write letters on a regular basis, either quarterly or semi-annually.
3. Financially support CCP ministry - Help financially support the indigenous “Constant Christian Presence” program and mentors (Ukrainian staff) that will do the year-round, daily mentoring and discipleship.
