Every morning in Bangpli, the children gather to share testimonies of how God is working in their lives.
How humbling it is to hear from children who have suffered deep hurts or horrific losses, yet they joyfully share personal examples of the goodness of God in their circumstances. These kids have already learned to hold their lives and possessions with open hands–accepting as from God every good and perfect gift.
David, whose story we have been privileged to share in the past, is often eager to contribute. Originally from Myanmar, he began working on a fishing boat when he was just 7 years old. Now 11, he has been living for the past couple of years on various construction sites in Thailand. After being found by Pastor Vino during an outreach to his construction site a year ago, David has become a leader among the other children, and is part of the student evangelism team.
These children go out regularly in groups to construction sites, markets, and housing developments to share the Gospel!
Recently, David has been facing some tough personal situations. Please pray for David’s safety, his continued growth in the Lord, and for the salvation of his family. We are very thankful for David’s recent sponsorship, which helps ensure Pastor Vino can continue to provide him with daily meals, education, and offer him a safe place to come day or night when he needs it.
Meet Thira and Nin.
Thira and Nin (below) recently joined the daily program at Pastor Vino’s church and learning center. Thira is one of a growing group of children who have begun to spend nights at the church to escape difficult or dangerous situations. Please pray for Pastor Vino and his team as they seek to meet these growing needs. Pray they receive wisdom for how best to protect the children while also working with their families.
May we learn from these precious kids how to praise God through every circumstance! They know heartache and suffering in ways unique to fatherless and vulnerable children, yet they cling to their faith in Christ and delight in taking the Gospel to people around them. Let’s pray for them that they would be bold in their faith and certain about God’s love for them!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Pray for the kids in Cambodia.
