Welcome to another edition of Family Friday! Please enjoy this week’s testimony from Adam and Liz, Lifesong adoptive family of Judah from Democratic Republic of the Congo. We rejoice with them as they share how God miraculously provided for their adoption through their family and friends. With God, ANYTHING is possible! Our experience with Lifesong was one of complete joy. The matching grant we received (and the donations associated with this catalyst effort) was the largest fundraising effort the Lord provided us with. We are grateful to Lifesong for helping us finance our adoption and for giving us a Christian financial support system. From the financial accountability to use the funds ethically to the courteous and helpful staff, our experience was one that we look on with great joy.  For us, the most helpful aspect was the matching grant itself. In all the adoption testimonies that are told, I continue to notice a recurring theme of our Father God. He has a way working in that surprises us, arranging events behind the scenes that take us off guard, yet in the end, are perfect. Nathan and Trica saw this first hand as they watched Him write their adoption journey, providing every step of the way as they brought their daughter, Mercy, into their forever family. Meet Todd and Rebecca. Lifesong adoptive parents of sweet Samuel from China.  They were blessed by one of our church fund partners, First Baptist Church, with an interest-free loan & direct grant to help with the significant financial barrier to adoption. It’s such a joy to see Samuel is in the arms of a forever family! Read their story… When you take a step of faith it is amazing to see God work. We have experiences with God providing for us through others. Specifically Lifesong’s role, we were thankful that the Lord gave us access to funds to assist in both grant and loan. Through ups & downs and twists & turns, I’m excited to share with you just a preview of Stephan & Joy’s adoption journey to their son Aaron from the Philippines. It was our joy to partner with them, helping bridge the financial gap of adoption through an interest-free loan an fundraising support. Please enjoy their testimony… When we initionally contacted Lifesong in 2011, it looked like we were going to be able to adopt newborn twins domestically. We opened an account where family and friends could make tax deductible donations to our adoption. And a short time later we learned that we were also approved for an interest free loan!! We were so very thankful by Lifesong’s willingness to partner in this journey with us. Ultimately, God had different plans when the adoption fell through as birth mommy chose to parent.
