God Sets the Lonely in Families… // February Mission Moment

13-2 MM Email

Faith. Family. Home.In caring for orphans, our hope is to instil faith, family and a sense of home deep into the hearts of every child we are blessed to serve. Please enjoy this month’s Mission Moment highlighting the fruit of God’s work through us.  Baptized in the Name of the ONE True God… In a country where the worship of many gods is commonplace, lives of children are being changed and transformed by the working of Jesus Christ, the ONE true God. Lifesong India provides homes for almost 600 children who are all being exposed to the gospel of our loving, merciful and kind Father God. Baptism has always been a powerful symbol of Christianity. This symbol is especially notable in this culture because through this outward testimony of faith, children are publicly turning away from false gods to rely only on Jesus! Witness the baptism of the girls from … Continue reading

We invite you to share a word of encouragement to our staff at Lifesong India. To do so, please comment on the blog or on our Facebook wall and it will be forwarded to our staff. Thank you in advance for your kind words of support! Please enjoy this update from Bob Stoll, Lifesong India Director… “He raises the poor out of the dust and the needy out of the dunghill.” Psalm 113:7 This psalm describes exactly what God has been doing in our Lifesong for Orphans homes in India. The psalm comes alive and is fulfilled because of your love and your obedience to the Holy Spirit. Most of the children cared for in our homes are from the lowest caste and are truly destitute. Illiteracy, ignorance, caste discrimination and abuse have made impossible any hope of escape. But, in each of our homes, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is changing the lives of … Continue reading

Family Friday: “We know God called us to adopt…”

Steven and Tiffany could list 78 reasons why they decided to grow their family through adoption.  For several years, they traveled as road directors for an international children’s choir.  They felt God working on their hearts as they were “Mom” and “Dad” to the children in the choir, many of which were orphans from India, Uganda, Brazil, Philippines, Nepal, and Myanmar. The Lord used these children to cultivate in them a heart for the orphan.  As most adoption stories go, Steven and Tiffany’s journey had some unexpected turns and surprises. But through it all, they felt God’s presence and peace as they persued the adoption of their daughter Ayla from China. Thanks to The Church of Brook Hills Adoption Fund, Steven and Tiffany were given a matching grant through Lifesong to help with some of the fiancial costs. Thankfully, through the movement of the spirit, he and his family gave their lives to Christ! Now at age 24, Mahesh works as a Conductor for a State Road Transportation Corporation. Serving the ONLY true God – Lifesong India

**New Opportunity**  We invite you to share a words of encouragement, prayers, or message to our staff at Lifesong India. To send a message, please comment on the blog and it will be forwarded to our staff. Thank you in advance for your kind words of support! Listen in with Bob Stoll, Lifesong India, as he shares about the baptisms he witnessed while in India, “One of the greatest joys as believers in Christ is to see others converted and saved. In our local churches and on the mission field, the resulting baptisms are a time of rejoicing and thanksgiving to God. This is especially true in India where idol worship is so prevalent.  During our visit to Lifesong India earlier this year we witnessed the water baptism of many new converts to Christ.   Baptism in India has great significance. It is a public statement to a multi-god community that the person … Continue reading

A Time to Praise! Over 200 Church Funds!

Guess what? Last week we celebrated our 203rd Church Fund Partner! We invite you to check out what God is doing through active and intentional churches who desire to defend the fatherless not only in word, but in ACTION… Churches like Grace Hands of Hope in Indianapolis, IN who has partnered with Lifesong to establish a Church Fund. Their fund financially assists families who are bringing orphans into forever families and also are active in Lifesong’s work in Honduras. They are planning their second trip to Honduras this fall and are eagerly raising funds for computers and Rosetta Stone software.    They encourage other churches to, “Take a step – most of the time not fully seeing the next step, pray, watch God work, be blessed! That’s the cycle of getting involved in orphan care and it truly does give joy and purpose to life that is hard to describe.”   First Baptist McKinney in McKinney, … Continue reading

Continuing the Work — Lifesong India

We invite you to listen in with Bob and Siromani Stoll, Lifesong India, as they share their hearts on “Continuing the Work” in India… Bob and Siromani praise their “kids” in India… It is always a rewarding experience to interact with children who are obedient, respectful of authority and wonderfully outgoing. They are studious and have a strong, active faith in prayer. Lifesong for Orphans is blessed to serve these children and plan to ‘continue the work’ that has been started so faithfully in India thanks to our many supporters.  We are praying that it will continue to bring glory and honor to our Father God! To hear more from Bob and Siromani Stoll and their testimony of faithfulness in India, click here.  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
