Levi & Logan Dahler
Just 1 year ago, Dave and Sherry Dahler felt God’s call and conviction to adopt twin boys, Levi & Logan, from S. Korea with special medical needs (a heart murmur, premature birth weighing only 4 lbs, and slower than normal development). The Dahler’s learned Levi & Logan’s birthmother in Korea was agnostic(1), meaning she did not necessarily believe in the existence or non-existence of God or a god, and that if a god did exist, he was “unknowable.” Dave and Sherry felt, “God saved these boys for us… through the power of prayer, the love of Jesus Christ and the will of Father God – we found the rest of our family in Korea.” The Lord has opened many doors in this process to confirm His will to us, and now He has led us to you.” There was one last roadblock preventing the Dahler’s from bringing these two little boys into their family – the remaining cost of adoption. Dave said, “we tried every other way to complete this adoption financially, we tried applying with other adoption grant & loan ministries, and we were denied – it was going to be the Lord using Life International (Lifesong) to assist us – or the adoption wasn’t going to happen.” Through God’s provision, Life International (Lifesong) was able to come along side Dave & Sherry, providing financial assistance to bring Levi & Logan home! A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of spending some time with Levi & Logan and saw how they are thriving in a Christian family environment. I see God’s pursuit of Levi & Logan’s souls, to remove them from a situation in S. Korea where they would think God is “unknowable”…and how God has sovereignly set them into Dave & Sherry’s family through adoption, so Levi & Logan can know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior! This is the heartbeat of Life International’s mission… Changing the way the world cares for orphans. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 1 John 5:20 ag·nos·tic: (Webster’s definition)
