Bryan Twyman

What do you do when the Holy Spirit puts a desire on your heart, but the way seems impossible?

In the fall of 2008, Michael and Lisa wanted to follow God’s call to adopt, but financially they needed help. That’s when they turned to Lifesong for Orphans and got in contact with Louisville Oprhan Care Alliance (formerly LOCI).

Through the adoption fund that OCA developed with Lifesong, we were given a $3,000 matching grant. With that matching grant we raised a total of $11,000! The response was overwhelming. What an amazing experience! To KNOW that you were doing what God wanted you to do, and to SEE Him working it out is incredible!

In April, 2010, Michael and Lisa brought their 6 year old son, Bryan, home from Taiwan. Now, this sweet and energetic little boy not only has a mommy, daddy, and three siblings, but a family of so many others who have contributed in prayer and financial support to bring him home.

About OCA:
It has been great to get to meet and work with the volunteers for Orphan Care Alliance. They truly have a heart to care for the orphan and have helped many families like ours fulfill the call that God has put in their heart.

The Orphan Care Alliance is a ministry that serves the fatherless around the world. As a multi-church alliance they are also able to impact their local communities in the Louisville/Southern Indiana area. Currently they serve in a variety of ways, including:

  • adoption seminars
  • mentoring teens in foster care
  • providing life coaches to children aging out of foster care
  • supplying local agencies with resources
  • funding domestic and international adoptions

Thank you Orphan Care Alliance for standing with us to bring Bryan home!
