“I will move ahead, bold and confident, taking every step in obedience...."
On July 20, 2009, Randy and Candice held their baby girl for the first time. They were able to kiss her cheeks, feel her hand wrap around their finger, tell her they have loved her, even before she was born. The journey to Korea to meet their daughter was a long road filled with surrendering and obedience to their own Heavenly Father.
Four years ago, Randy and Candice began to file for adoption in China, a long five year wait until they were able to meet the age requirement for Chinese adoption. But God had other plans for their family, plans that were “far better than any they could scheme up on their own.” In 2008, God asked Randy and Candice to step out in faith and adopt now. Randy and Candice decided to trust God that He would choose their daughter and He would provide financially for them. Lifesong for Orphans partnered with this couple in adopting this beautiful girl by providing them with a matching grant. As funds were received from their friends and family, Lifesong was able to bless this family in their adoption journey.
After a long four year adoption process, Randy and Candice flew to Korea to meet their precious daughter. They now hold their daughter and thank God for guiding them to her. They count it a privilege and blessing to reflect the love of God as they welcome Elliana as a child into their family they way He welcomes all of us into His family.
