Important Update from Lifesong Haiti

Thank you for praying for Haiti!

God never promised life would be easy, but He did promise He would walk with us every step of the way (Isaiah 43). On behalf of Lifesong Haiti, we want to thank you for praying for the work in Bercy, especially during the recent hardship created by Hurricane Matthew.
On Monday night, October 3, we put out a request for you to pray for Haiti. Hundreds–perhaps even thousands–of you did, and we are grateful. As reports rolled in of Hurricane Matthew’s widespread destruction–vast flooding and unimaginable loss–we waited to hear about the children and families we are honored to serve. And then word came from the team overseas–

We are overjoyed to share with you that there were no lives threatened in our community and no damage, just minimal clean-up. Thank you for your earnest prayers; it is clear God spared us from what could have been much more severe.

We do not take this answer to prayer lightly. God has been unfathomably gracious, and we continue to pray for our fellow brothers and sisters in Haiti who are piecing their lives back together. We want to help in any way we can.

Would you help us help our neighbor?

Many Haitians live in the countryside in homes that are neither safe or healthy environments in which to raise a family. This home belongs to neighbors of Lifesong Haiti–

It is our hope that they would never need to experience another hurricane without protection. Since we have built homes for people living on our property, we have the tools to help build a home for this family. Now we simply needs the funds. We would like to build a basic house–with 3 rooms, clean concrete floors, and louvered windows (like the house pictured at the top of this post).
The home would cost $7,000.
Would you make a donation to help give this family a safe and healthy home? 100% of your donation will go directly to support this Haiti initiative.
