See What God Is Doing for Our Students in Liberia!

God has been doing big things for students and families in Liberia!

The end of the academic year signals a break in classes and homework, and–for many of our kids–a milestone reached.  Last month, Lifesong Liberia had more graduates than ever from kindergarten, sixth, and ninth grades, and our second high school graduate. We are excited by this growth and are so proud of these students. They have worked hard, and we are thankful they have the opportunity to attend school!
In Liberia, receiving an education is a privilege, especially for girls.

Statistically, only 4 out of every 10 Liberian girls attend school, and the rate declines sharply in the upper levels.

The children and young adults who live at our homes are growing in their passion for education and learning. As they mature, they can articulate their hopes and dreams for the future. It is wonderful to be able to help our kids set goals and see them realized.
We are hopeful they will grow up to be productive citizens who are a blessing in their communities and the country of Liberia. As well, we trust that they will learn to love God with heart, soul, and mind.
We appreciate each teacher who invests in our kids as well as the students from the community who attend our schools. They have a difficult job without a lot of resources, but they are succeeding. In addition to academic instruction, our staff is focusing on the children’s spiritual development and growth. Please pray for them!

Finally, thank YOU for your faithful prayer, support, and love which–as the hands and feet of Jesus–makes the education and growth of each of these students possible.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

–Jeremiah 29:11
