Shauna’s House Now OPEN!

Shauna’s House is now open to orphan graduates! And made a difference they have. Read Shauna’s story here and learn what Todd did after cancer took Shauna’s life on November 4, 2015. The day we were praying for Though there are still some projects to be done–including landscape–we are excited that Shauna’s House is open and dedicated to housing orphan grads. A Life Transformed by Love

Your support is changing the lives of orphans around the world. Whether through adoption funding or orphan care, lives–like Vasiliy’s–are being transformed by the Gospel. Here is his story. MEET VASILIY Vasiliy was just 6 years old when he lost his parents. As a result, he was brought to the local orphanage in Ukraine where he was taught from the beginning that he was an outcast. He was told, “You are going to be an alcoholic and drug addict just like your parents.” In his words– These words deeply penetrated my mind, and I started to believe this would be my destiny. But God had bigger plans for Vasiliy. A team of local Christians from Lifesong Ukraine began visiting the orphanage where Vasiliy lived. They began sharing the love of Christ with the children who most needed to hear that they were loved and cherished by the God Who made them. This team … Continue reading

Life Touching Life | Lifesong Ukraine

It was a very eventful recent Christmas season with various programs and big events! Here is a brief recap of what God is doing in Ukraine through your prayer and support– Our first Christmas event was a New Life meeting for 40 young women and their 25 children at Prostor base, Loubetin, on December 30. Having grown up in the orphanage herself, New Life founder Natasha, 27, has a special heart for these young women–many of whom are trapped in prostitution, single parenthood, or other challenging life experiences. This ministry is growing, and we have more than 100 young women in this New Life circle.   Our second Christmas event involved two Christmas programs for children, held by the Chernihiv team from January 11-13. The first Christmas program was held in Seredinka village, where Lifesong Farm site 2 is located. It was a pleasant surprise to see the room of … Continue reading

MEET NATASHA Natasha and her 8 siblings were left at an orphanage when they were very young. As a result, they grew up understanding very little about what it was like to live in a Christian family. During her time in the orphanage, Christian workers and volunteers invested their time and attention in Natasha–introducing her to the Bible and showing her the love of Christ. Through the mentoring of the Lifesong Ukraine team, she found Christ and a purpose for her life. Now, she is using her experiences to serve at-risk single mothers with the love of Jesus. “I know what it is like to be an orphan as I went through the system and understand the void they have. God has been preparing me since my … Continue reading

“I Don’t Want This Child” | Ukraine Country Update

My name is Svetya and I am 22 years old. When I was one year old, my mom left me in a baby house. She simply brought me to the orphanage and said, “I don’t want this child.” After staying there for six years, I was transferred to another orphanage in Sakhnovshchyna where I lived and studied for ten years. Later, I moved to the Louboutin orphanage where I finished high school. My biggest childhood dream was to have loving, caring parents. It was a big burden for me. With particular joy, I would always wait for the Lifesong team to visit us in the orphanages (in Sakhno and Louboutin). I loved spending time with the team, playing games, learning new and meaningful things for my life. Most importantly, they brought the light of the Gospel into the orphanage and our hearts. . Over the years God would persistently knock … Continue reading

Summer Camp in 7 Exciting Photos | Ukraine Update

Summer presents many unique opportunities here and around the world for Christians to share the Gospel with kids in need. For teams in Ukraine, this is no exception. With Constant Christian Presence (CCP) programs, multiple farm sites, and summer-specific camp ministries, the teams in Ukraine spend the hot summer months in joyful, busy service taking the love of Christ to the fatherless. Here are some recent photos from Lifesong Camp in Ukraine, where 50 children gathered in one place from orphanages in 4 different regions. The campers had a wonderful opportunity to build friendships with other kids they might otherwise never have had the opportunity to meet. And because of shared experiences and similar life stories, they were able to bond and build memories that will last a lifetime. Even more exciting? Together, they were able to learn about Jesus in a loving, Christian environment. Through daily, practical study of the Bible, these precious kids got … Continue reading
